He won the title in 1970 despite his fatal accident in pracrice for the Italian GP at Monza, after which his points lead proved unassailable.Rindt was an entrpreneurial driver under the stewardship of his manager, Bernie Ecclestone. At the time of his passing, Jochen and Bernie had already planned to take over an extant F1 team – a plan that Bernie realised a few years later with Brabham. One of Jochen’s projects was the establishment of the ‘Jochen Rindt Show’, a touring celebration of motor racing that went on to become the popular Essen Racing Show.As such, he promoted the 1970 shows on the wing of his Lotus 72 and his race helmet. His Team Lotus promo cards also featured the events.We have new into stock a superb example of one such promocard, showcasing the Vienna event, hand signed by the late Austrian World Champion, mounted and framed.
