The specialised emulsion is non-greasy, easily spreadable and contains a higher concentration of protective ingredients compared to water-based alternatives. Clinell Contiplan 3-in-1 Cream Cloths are suitable for periwound and peristomal skin; however, it is not recommended for use on areas of skin that will be in direct contact with dressing adhesive, as it may reduce adhesion to the skin depending on the dressing. As with applications of any liquid to the baby’s skin, tissue viability should be considered for extreme or very low birth weight babies.
