Baxter Viaflex Sodium Chloride 0.45% Glucose 5% and Potassium 20mmol

Hypertonic: Potassium 20 mmol/L, Glucose 278 mmol/L, Sodium 77 mmol/L, Chloride 97 mmol/L Indications: Sodium Chloride and Glucose Intravenous Infusion is indicated for replenishing fluid losses, as an energy source and for restoration or maintenance of sodium and chloride ion concentrations. It may be used as a vehicle of drug delivery where intravenous delivery is appropriate and the drug is compatible with this solution. Contraindication: The Sodium Chloride and Glucose Intravenous Infusion preparations are contraindicated in patients with congestive heart failure or severe impairment of renal function, and in clinical states in which there exists oedema with sodium retention.
